What Causes Elbow Calluses?
Dog elbow calluses form as your dog’s body, the overprotective Ulna bone, attempts to protect the bony part of the elbow that hits the ground first when your dog lies down. Every time your dog flops down on the concrete, tile, deck or dirt the callus thickens as it tries to protect the elbow. In some cases calluses become cracked, bloody, infected and ulcerated.

While we cannot swear Elbow Butter will remove your dog’s callus and grow the hair back, we CAN promise it will moisturize and condition the calluses with healing herbal good stuff. Customer testimonials have shared that Elbow Butter has helped remove the callus and the hair did actually grow back, but that is not guaranteed. Keeping expectations real!
Using Your Elbow Butter
For ease of application and faster absorption put tin or tube in your pocket for a few minutes to warm the product
Wipe callus clean (wet wipe, warm washcloth etc.)
TIN Scoop a bit out with finger or spoon and warm in your palm before application for faster absorption
DAB on dog’s elbow callus and rub in, if possible
DISTRACT to keep them from licking it off (give treat, feed dinner, go for walk)
REPEAT 2-3x daily for 1-3 days or until there is improvement
Use as needed for maintenance (usually 1-2x a week)
Keep off carpet and furniture for 10-15 minutes after application
