UHF VHF Antenna Coax Coaxial Cable LMR240 PL-259 SO239
Dependability. Efficiency. Quality.
These are the three core principles behind LMR-240 Coax
Antenna cable.
Made with pride in the USA
, this cable is made only
from quality components to ensure the optimal signal for your
Wireless network or Ham / CB radio. If signal strength and
propagation are your concerns, this coax cable more than meets all
your requirements.
This highly flexible 1/4 inch coax is made to Times Microwave LMR
specifications
and is fully compliant to US Mil Spec transmission and construction
specifications. When it comes to Ham, CB & Wireless internet
transmission quality and peace of
mind, nothing beats Times Microwave. Times coax cables aren’t cheap
offshore copies but US-made products of high precision quality
control and mission critical attention to detail. If you’re looking
for high quality Mil Spec compliant products, buy 50 ohm LMR-240 Coax
Antenna coax and Jumpers today and see the difference.
There is
a Huge Difference between Genuine LMR-240 and cheap Chinese Imitations

Flexible
: With a
3/4-inch minimum bend radius, LMR-240 cable can be
easily routed into and through tight spaces without kinking. The
Patented LMR bonded metal-tape outer conductor provides superior
flexibility and ease of bending compared to corrugated copper or smooth
wall copper hard-line cables.

Low Loss
: LMR-240 has
lower loss than other RG ‘8x’ type cables. This
is achieved through the use of a high velocity dielectric and a bonded
aluminum tape outer conductor. The proprietary gas-injected closed cell
foam dielectric prevents water migration through the cable and provides
excellent crush resistance.

Weatherproof
: The UV
protected black polyethylene jacket makes the
cable rugged and resistant to the full range of outdoor environments.
The DB version of the cable includes a water blocking material within
the braid to protect the cable from moisture ingress and corrosion in
harsh environments or should the jacket become damaged. Various jacket
materials are available to address other environmental and indoor
requirements.

RF Shielding
: The bonded
aluminum tape outer conductor is overlapped
with tinned Braided Copper Shielding to provide 100% coverage,
resulting in >90 dB RF shielding (>180 dB crosstalk) and
excellent interference immunity (ingress and egress).

Phase Stability
: The
intimately bonded structure and foam dielectric
of LMR cables provide excellent phase stability over temperature and
with bending. The high velocity dielectric results in superior phase
stability as compared with solid and air-spaced dielectric cables.

Connectors and Assemblies
:
Times Microwave provides jumper cable assemblies fabricated with
LMR-240 cable and a variety of connector interface combinations.
Custom
assemblies with phase matching, insertion loss matching, and other
special electrical or marking requirements can also be provided. A good
selection of connectors is available for LMR-240 cable as shown in our
store. Custom configurations are easily produced.
But Yours Costs More!
A
word on Our LMR Coaxial Cable Pricing
Pricing by the foot
– We price our cable assemblies by the
foot including the cost of installed connectors.  While the price
of the coax varies by length, the cost of connectors is fixed.
This means that the sales price of shorter cables varies very
little.  Our cables are expected to have a life span of up to 20
years in amateur radio and wireless use. While we are happy to make
your cable any length you like it may be wise to purchase one a little
longer than you need in case your setup changes.
Factory Direct
– We purchase our coax factory direct from Times Microwave in 25,000
foot orders.  This allows us to purchase coax at a quantity
discount, pass savings on to our customers, and maintain a stock level
to fulfill orders.  We have a direct factory rep from Times
Microwave and are a recognized Times dealer.
Cutting
Corners

We can purchase the Chinese coax sold by the majority of sellers here
on eBay for
Over 50% Less
than what we pay Times Microwave. With copper prices up over 300% in
the last year there is more pressure than ever on producers and sellers
profit margins.  Many sellers have started selling this cheaper
coax as “LMR240 or LMR400” at almost the same cost as we charge for the
real thing.  We have purchased some of this coax and found it
weighs 15% less per foot than Genuine Times or Andrew cable.
Although we have we do not know if this is due to metallic or plastic
composition it reinforces our commitment to the genuine article.
Testing
Results for US Made LMR Coax
Attenuation (Signal Loss) per 100/ft – (lower numbers are better)
Attention
: There are many
Chinese companies quoting the same specs as Times Microwave and Andrew
/ Commscope Coaxial cable.
There are some issues with this:
Cheaper grades of cable may
Start
with the same loss but quickly degrade over time with
significant signal loss.
The Inner foil layer below the braided shield is bonded to the
foam dielectric in a patented process that prevents signal leakage and
moisture infiltration
Only
on US Made Times Microwave Coaxial Cable.
True
Mil Spec testing criteria is not followed by many Chinese offshore
producers and when retested by UL cable has repeatedly failed to pass
muster.
When subjected to
standardized
quality testing – Jacket materials, Copper alloys, and Dielectric Foam
have been found to be adulterated and containing contaminants.
While there
are
quality Coaxial Cable producers in China and other offshore locations
they mainly produce cable for major brand name retailers who provide
their own quality control, and do not sell off cable under “generic” or off brand names.

additional shipping charges.
We
do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” –
US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
ALL
international shipping is done via USPS Air Mail. You can check the
rates for your location at USPS.Com and just add $2 to the direct cost
to pay for our packaging and transport. I can ship
